Hope
Valley Resort is located 1&1/4 miles east of
the Highways 88/89 Picketts Junction in beautiful Hope Valley, and
just south of Lake Tahoe in Alpine County, California. It is a "sister"
resort of Sorensen's Resort and operated under a special use permit with
the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The campground opens the first day
of fishing season last weekend in April through September,
weather permitting. The Hope Valley Café and Market is open all
year.
Located in Woodfords Canyon at 7,000' elevation along the cascading West
Fork Carson River, Hope Valley Resort and Campground offers a variety
of camping or RV and lodging experiences. Enjoy a variety of summer recreational
opportunities in Alpine County from spectacular hiking, exceptional fishing,
swimming, and biking. The Grover State Park Hot Springs is approximately
20 miles away!
Accommodations include full RV hookups, drive-in and walk-in campsites,
a Classic 1947 Spartan trailer and Hope Valley House, a comfortable three-bedroom/two
bath vacation home overlooking the river. (This home is pet-friendly and
allows up to two pets).
The Hope Valley Cafe and Market is run by Leesa Lopazanski and is open
all-year from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Offering specialty espresso coffee
drinks, beer on-tap, delicious breakfast and lunch menus, and wonderful
house-made desserts and scones. The Market carries gifts, books, clothing,
basic groceries, ice, and camping supplies. It also features a wall-mounted
television for enjoying sports or special event viewing.
While
camping at Hope Valley Resort, sign-up and participate in a variety of
Sorensen's outdoor programs and events or enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner
all year-round.
